About IFDA Educational Foundation

Organized in 1970, the International Furnishings and Design Association's Educational Foundation is geared towards fostering educational and philanthropic activities which will benefit those individuals and institutions engaged in activities that promote, develop or enhance the furnishings and design industries and the practice of these professions.

The Foundation's first president, Elizabeth Brown, French Brown Floors, Dallas Texas, remains an active and contributing member to the association and foundation. Grant Simmons, Simmons Corporation, served as the initial Chairman of the Board and the Foundation's link to industry.
